民國初年，北方盤龍鎮來了一神秘男子巡城馬。搶山賊銀票的姚氏藏於巡城馬投宿的房中被山賊誤為一夥，追殺中，由胡某救下，為報恩須十二天內安然將四個木箱送至給匪頭焦龍原來胡已捉去姚家人，巡城馬見日落姚未歸，前去搭救，才知道他們送去的是屠殺革命黨人的……
