夜幕降臨，資深刑警鍾文（成龍 飾）接到離家出走許久的女兒苗苗（景甜 飾）的電話，他暗懷喜悅準時來到了正進行三周年店慶的武吧。酒吧老板武江（劉燁 飾）熱情地接待了他，但是酒吧內光怪陸離和烏煙瘴氣的景象讓鍾文心生不快。稍後，苗苗抵達，眼見得紋身染發並且桀驁不馴的女兒，鍾文盡量和顏悅色地與女兒溝通，可當得知武江是女兒的男朋友時還是發了脾氣。就在此時，一名民工為索要工錢帶著炸彈入場，鍾文出手不凡解決爭端，可沒過多久卻被人用棒球棍打暈。
當他蘇醒過來時，發現自己被人綁在椅子上，冷酷的武江宣布將其劫持為人質。有限的時間內，鍾文不得不和這個狡猾凶狠的匪徒鬥智鬥勇，尋找逃脫的機會……
